Attention and Atonement: The First Small Signs of Home in the Land of Sin, Death, and the Devil

A blog about the things in my blue backpack, things that help me pay attention to all the good things Christ is and the small good things we offer in His Name. I call these things my tender loving sorrows, my stubborn defiant joys, my sweet cries for Mercy, my first small signs of Home.

They are the things that first taught me that my attention was a pilgrim in a nightmare. That Good News is its only shepherd. As we make our out pride and lies, through trouble and loss, toward all the good things Christ Himself is and the small good things we offer in His Name.
I call them the signs and wonders of the tragi-comic Christian nightmare. And with each post, I pay attention to them.

Attention and Atonement continues the line of thought begun in A Quiet Mind to Suffer With (Lexham Press, 2023) and A Table at the End of the World (Lexham Press, forthcoming). The mission, as always, is the same: Good News for those who struggle.
